New Job Opportunity at CTPA - Head of International Growth & Regulatory Services


The Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) is the voice of the cosmetics and personal care industry in the UK, promoting good working practice and representing the interests of its members through active dialogue with Government, European and international regulators, interested stakeholders and media.  Membership comprises manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, retailers and service providers, from SMEs to multi-nationals. 

CTPA is currently recruiting for a key role to lead its International and Regulatory department. The office-based position will oversee the provision of regulatory advice for the UK, EU and international markets with the team covering the issues related to ‘Product to Market’.  A particular focus will be shaping the new UK regulatory landscape following the UK’s exit from the EU.  Specifics of the role include understanding the regulatory environment to facilitate and promote trade, including monitoring and resolving trade barriers between the UK cosmetics industry, the EU and other global markets; addressing trade issues such as selective distribution and e-commerce; promoting Free Trade Agreements; facilitating export; working with Government on the UK industrial strategy and promoting investment for the industry. 

The successful candidate must possess a good honours degree.  Experience of the regulatory framework for cosmetics, or a related field, is essential and legal experience is preferable.  Knowledge of international trade and trading issues is desirable.  Demonstrable experience of managing a team, together with excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills is required, as is a high level of computer literacy. 

The CTPA is offering an attractive salary according to experience, with private healthcare and a workplace pension scheme.  The offices are centrally located in London, W1.
